This project undertaken in association with architect Gilberto Martins required that the existing Portuguese Association Old Age Home situated in Albertskroon, Randburg be upgraded by providing a new reception block with day care facility attached onto the existing residential housing block and a function hall suitable to hire out to the local community.

The brief required that the architecture be typically Portuguese with a Mediterranean feel, classical arches with pilasters and decorative balustrades provides the overall look and feel. Blue and white painted ceramic tiles synonymous with Portuguese architecture are to be utilised extensively on the common entrances and public hall.
