The Audi architecture summarises Audi’s core marque values of technology, humanity, passion, leadership and visual strength.
The showroom is of primary importance. This is where the customer enters direct dialog with the dealership. The Audi showroom is designed so that customers orientate them selves quickly and easily. All functions and procedures within the dealership are easily understood, creating the feeling of transparency and confidence. The open plan layout of the showroom encourages easy access and interaction.
The interior layout of the showroom is demarcated by a curved boundary between vehicle presentation and work spaces. This is perceived by the differentiation of floor materials. Warm colours in the use of Maple timber desks and painted walls offset the cold silver of the exposed structural steel tensile roof structure.
The sweeping curve of the roof, the filigree design of the frame and the lightness of the building distinguish it as an Audi showroom. The showroom with large sections of glass allow natural light to filter into the showroom where the vehicles are displayed as naturally as possible. Large roof overhangs with sun louvers to the front of the structure provide the necessary sun shading. Steel cladding further enhance the aircraft hanger concept to the showroom building.
