The clients brief for the restaurant and club house was for the design to create a homely yet sporting feel for its recently acquired smaller family orientated driving range facilities. The upgraded facility had to cater for the needs of the entire family allowing activities for both parents and children.
The concept coined as "residential-sport" focuses on the family orientated facility rather than a sports club environment such as the World of Golf. The choice of materials reflect this by the use of softer and wormer finishes such as the use of timber cladding and exposed timber canopies, stone together with red and green accents in furniture and floor coverings complete the recognizable elements of a typical home. Materials were carefully selected for there esthetical properties but also there durability for a high trafficable environment.
